Jamie Thorpe of the City of Leicester SC broke the 50m Butterfly Regional Record at the Midland District Youth Championships, Coventry on the 3rd May 2008.

The record was previously set in 2001 by James Graves and stood at 26.54 but Jamie lowered this time to 26.40.

Jamie currently trains in the youth squad coached by Mike Parker and is now looking to lower his record further.
