Within the East Midlands there are limited opportunities for disabled swimmers to access quality coaching to help them develop and potentially live the dream.

The aim of the project is to provide the knowledge and education required to up skill the club workforce to deliver quality swimming coaching to disabled individuals ensuring that the opportunities available within the East Midlands are widespread.

Alongside up skilling the workforce there is also the opportunity for identified coaches with a disability to develop their skills and knowledge with the support of the East Midlands ASA.

The minimum requirement is enthusiasm. This project is open to any member of a club that is interested in developing their skills and knowledge base. The programme will provide you with:

  • A personal training needs analysis
  • Access to a personal development plan
  • Support and guidnace throughout your coach education
  • Access to Funding
  • The opportunity to be involved within disability swimming and its development within the region.

If you would like to be considered for the project please complete the 'Expression of Interest Form' and return to the ASA East Midland region, 18 Derby Square, Loughborough. LE11 5AL or email rachel.washington@swimming.org
